last week I went out to the back yeard and saw a BEAUTIFUL hawk sitting on the fence!! it looked like a red-tailed hawk.. I RAN INSIDE and grabbed my camera, eyes bugging with excitement.. ran out back and as I tried to take his picture he flew to a neighbors tree... I was bummed because it was soo  coooooll. I got some pic of it in the tree but they are kinda blurry.  then i got my reference book out and determined because of the tail bars that it was and a juvenile one..

i hope it comes back!!

So cool. I have one at work that comes around alot. The red on the tail can be quite striking.

We have a bunch of them too they are nesting across the screet and sometimes they perch on the fence.  But I also hear the sounds of screams from the crows that had their nest invaded  sadbigeye  They are georgeous though and I could watch them forever.

That is really cool!
Today I saw some vultures?  I was not near home, but north in very farm county land.  There were about 5 of them and I could see some white and red on their faces.  I am assuming that's what they were.  I would have loved to stop and try to get a pic of them but would never have ventured out of the Jeep with 5 of them there! :deer:
