I put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving, so I thought I had better get started on his stocking!

I practiced first, then I chose the fabric.  I went with a beige with green and grey background for his body since he is mainly these colors, shimmery green for his new wings, dark pink and red for his tail, pink for his feet, a white patch for his eye, a green spot for his cheek, and a dash of pink for his little cheekbone spot.

I cut out the pieces free hand, and was pleasantly surprised he didn't come out looking like a duck or something, LOL

I discoverd a great new product: FABRIC GLUE! I pieced it together and glued it down..

then I cut out his name from a piece of green felt just to see if I could do it..

then I looked all over and found the PERFECT EYE BUTTON, really brought it to life.

so here is what I did with about 2 hours of my day.

In a bind you could also take elmer's glue and water it down a tad and run it along the edges.  That is basically what Mod Podge is, a water based sealer, glue and finish.
