This was the hardest thing I have made yet, I didnt have a pattern or a shirt the size she needed to work from. So this is a pattern of my own. It started out wayyy different, but for some reason it came out about an inch smaller than I wanted it to be (fit her but was snug). So I cut it in half, added the teal fabric down the middle (its denim on the reverse) and it fit but then the leg holes where wonky. So I cut them off completley, and actually ended up with more of what I was going for to begin with (a vest). The main difference is before I messed up it was reversible ( teal fabric on one side, denim on the other) and would of had a hood. Over all though, I think it came out good for being my own design!!

The little sqaure of the teal fabric is a little pocket I added, I might add a denim flap on the pocket and a button. It looks way better in person, she didnt want to hold still for pics haha.

mmm fingers! lol

not sure why her nose looks purple LOL

She wouldnt stand up so I could show how it actually fits, it was bedtime hah!

DO you know you have a real talent for this? YOu really really do. most people have a hard enough time sewing from a parttern, you just kinda went for it! I don't think you know what a rare talent that it.  The vest is amazingly made, I wouldn't have thought to add the cool stripe down the back like that, color block vouge. the pocket makes it tres Chanel.

Billy has a tee shirt with a pocket in the back. My son always asks "What DO schnauzers carry in their pockets?"  dmblaf

It came out nice. And she is still adorable.

Aww thanks guys!

I was really upset when I messed up the legs, tossed the shirt on the table and was sure it was ruined with no way to fix it. But after I took a couple hour break, I thought of cutting the legs out completley. Then the denim around the neck seemed to thin so I added a layer of the "fur" to the collar to make it thicker. I told Shane, hey its not PERFECT but I just saved it from being thrown in the trash and it is 100% wearable now! I just wanted her to have something for cool, rainy nights or when we go camping and are outside late.

Jades, Shane says the pocket is for one single milk bone 2funny2

If that were true, all schnauzers would be walking in circles trying to get the treat.  dmblaf  Is she a mooch? The first thing Billy does when I ask him if he has to go potty is run to Toddy's crate and make sure there are no biscuits. If Todd is mad, he won't eat his, so Billy always does a grid search of the crate, blanket and bed. LOL

LOL! You know im going to have to put a bone in that pocket and see if she does circles now! hah!

She IS a mooch, big time! Shane always sets his coffee cup on the floor because there isnt a table next to him anymore. So she lays there and waits until she knows he isnt paying attention and goes and sneaks some coffee. Then she scours the floor for any crumbs she may have left behind earlier in the day, lmao she is a riot.

I was thinking about it for the bedding sets, im not sure the dog clothes are good enough yet to sell. I have a couple more coats planned for Maiya (Morgan has more clothes than I do already) so maybe by then ill be a bit more confident with the dog stuff. I am also considering playing around with quilting, I made a little one back in school and I remember it was a long process but it was fun! We will see dknow lol!
