Well I am pleased to report that I found the Linnies a great home. I pretty much found a friend of a friend who has linnies herself and wanted to add a couple more to her flock. Blueberry and Buttercup will be able to stay together which was a huge stipulations for me. My friend knows her really well so I am comfortable adopting them to her. She lives in NY state but just a little over an hour from me. Not too bad. She is coming on Saturday to pick them up. Seems like she is a very nice lady and owns many other small birds. I can relax knowing they are going to a good home! Yay!
I will say, looking into their little faces yesterday, it won't be easy seeing them go. But I think they will have a good life with this lady.

Great news Blanca! You must be pleased they are going to a good home. The cage you had the Linnies in would be fine for a Caique. I remember seeing it when you first got them

super that you found someone with Linnies who will know all about their care.
I bet they will adjust quickly once they hear their own kind. And since they were not totally bondedto you as in wanting to be with you all the time, the transition will go much more smoothly.
Mommy Bird (you) is the one that will take some time to adjust to not seeing their cute widdle faces. Good thi g you have more birds in the house. They will help you more than you think they might.
