~~Saying Good Bye My Jonnikki~~

I have been kinda' absent from the forum for awhile. My heart just wasn't in to being on trying to think of cheery things to post. Almost 2 weeks ago my oldest toy poodle Jonnikki disappeared out of my front yard and I haven't seen him since. 

He was 7 yrs old, what they call a phantom color which is merely a silver poodle with cream markings. He was 10" tall & about 5lbs, just a tiny little fluffer nuffer. He was my only ball player out of all my 'wolf pack'. He could drive us batty wanting the tennis ball thrown just one more time. Oh how I miss that so very much now. 

On Jan. 10th I let all the dogs outside in our fenced in yard before leaving for work. I didn't notice Jonnikki didn't come back in with the rest of the dogs & I left for work. I work nights and once home the next morning I found he was not in the house. Jerry & I searched all over our lake camp area for him, but he was nowhere to be seen. If I lived in town where anyone could have walked by & picked him up I would think he is still out there being held against his will. But I live in the country at a lake that has very little traffic except the few of us who still live here permanently. Everyone out here knows I have several dogs & I don't know of anyone here who would be a dog napper. My personal opinion is that a coyote came by & grabbed him. We have a bunch of packs that howl all around us nightly.

Oh that's awful De, so sorry. There has been absolutely no sign of him? If this is what happened I'm sure it would have been quick and Jonnikki didn't suffer

Thank you Wendy, Terri & Julie for your warm comforting  words. And taking time & caring enough to send them through the airwaves to me. 

I know I have a wolf pack of dogs and one being missing shouldn't make much difference  in some folks minds.  But many of us have a flock of birds and when we lose one or have to rehome one it still hurts as much as if it were the only one we have. The same goes with my dog pack.   

It gets easier as time goes by, but not having him come pester me with that darn tennis ball makes me miss him all over again.

Thank you Sondra & Blanca for the warm heartfelt words.    They mean the world to me. 

Everyone of you ladies are very special to me and helping me through losing my little ball player has helped in ways ya'll will never know.

It sure does, Julie, thanks. 

I still look for him every time I drive in from work or when I've been gone for the day.  Nothing would make me happier than to see his bouncing around in the yard again as if he never left happy to see me home.
