January BP Photo Competition ~*Favourite Mug*~

Hi Folks, I would like to announce the BP Photo Competition for the month of January is starting today. A wee bit late again, but we are very flexible with our competition schedules.   

This month's subject/theme was chosen by Julie (Jules), winner of last month's competition. She has chosen ~~*Favourite Mugs*~~ for our subject/theme this month and this is what she would like to see in the photos you enter:

"Just thinking on which theme to have for the next photo comp and thought showing our favourite mugs or cups might be fun, or oldest favourite mug/cup."

All photos need to be entered right here on this page. Only one photo entry per competition. Every member including staff is eligible to participate. The winner of this month's competition will choose the subject/theme for February's photo competition. And the winner will also get one of our 'Best Photo Award' Icons  added to their signature area. This Icon will remain on their signature and each new win will get another Icon added to their signature.  handshappy

The Competition will run from today January 10th til midnight (Central Standard Time in the US) on the 24th of January. On January 25th I will be adding the Poll with all the photo entries for everyone to vote on their favorite entry.



Photo Competition Rules:

1. No copy write photos - Please make sure you have permission to use the photo you submit.
2. No photos depicting birds in dangerous situations.
3. Only one entry per competition - If you need to remove or change your submitted photo, please contact one of the staff members with your reason to do so. It is at our digression to determine
    the need for changes.
4. Keep photos within the subject/theme topic.
5. All photos need to be entered here on this page.
6. And last but not least - Let's all have fun!!

This is one of my favourites, one in had for my birthday a couple of years ago x

The EastEnders mug is the oldest one I have, it came with an Easter egg and it is 28 years old  think I will enter this one in the comp x

I have a favorite travel mug and favorite home mug.


My travel mug has pics of my kids dancing when they were small.


My home mug is a really nice, heavy pottery and the proceeds went to the Wild Horses in Carova, NC.  It is for emergency medical care, etc.  Carova is one of my favorite places and I adore the wild horses, so it always makes me smile.

Great choices for your ~*Favorite Mug*~ Photo Competition entries Julie & Kendra!! 

That is a long time to have a mug around & not break it Julie (28 yrs)! Very beautiful mugs, both of them. 

Both of your mugs are beautiful as well Kendra. I can see why they are your favorites.   

Can you let me know which one you want to enter in the competition? That way I won't accidentally put the wrong one up for the voting poll.

Well I guess I must add my favorite mug to the mix. This would be my Bubba Mug that goes everywhere I go when I leave home except in to work with me. I used to get to take it in until some some idiot brought a cell phone in to one of "our finest" who in turn called our state representative and threatened his family back in 2008. That changed everything we could bring in & the need to search everything including our co-workers. 

As you can see my Bubba mug is in my favorite color, *turquoise* and is an impressive 52 ozs of delicious ice water.  I can't leave the house without my Bubba Mug or I feel I will die of thirst. 

If ya'll would please note, my darling mug has been ever so carefully <sculpted> on the handle and the lid closure tab by none other than 'The Boy In Pink Panties' who goes by the name of Dakota in my house.  He was drawn to my mug by it's beauty and couldn't resist chewing on it any time he got the chance!   

This is my favorite mug and I love it!!

Hey Folks, Ya'll need to hurry & post your entry of your ~*Favorite Mug*~ here in our competition for this month. The competition will be closing in 4 days on the 24th.

We only have 3 entries and we would love to have many more to choose from when we start the vote on the 25th. 

Please join in here and post your photos. We don't want to have to stop our monthly photo competitions, but if we continue to have a lack of interest in them there will be no need to continue. 

Surely everyone can come up with a favorite mug. 

Take a look at my entry, it is nothing more than a big gawky uninteresting blue thing. But it is my favorite mug and I am proud to give it the honor to enter it. 

Ya'll all surely have real mugs you love & use for morning coffee or hot chocolate you enjoy every day.

I can post my fav mug, but, I have to warn you, it is just a plain old boring one

Okay, I told you my mug was going to be pretty boring in comparison with all your entries  I have had this same mug for 10 years now and I just can't drink my coffee out of anything else! I always drink cappuccino and my mug is never empty, as you can see in the pic! It's just a thing with me, I have to have coffee on the go all the time

Oh no not boring or plain Wendy, both yours and De'Andreas mugs have style of their own. They don't have to have colour to be interesting
