First Ill remind everyone who Sassy is . Hes my  new Too Ive had a month . . This bird likes Dave [and flys to attack me and my girls]. Since we are a bird family [were not getting too worked up over this]. We have decided to use that leash [the owner used]. So he can come out when me and the girls are home [and don't have to be hiding upstairs under the bed when hes out   :hehe2: ]. Its been working out good and hes starting to get used to us while hes out with Dave. Today I came home [Dave was gone]. I look up and make eye contact with SASSY   :eek2:. Im like Holy crap !!! [and ran out of the house]. I called Dave [thank God he answered ].He was on the motorcycle.  Sassy had broke out of his cage [my fault].As I was waiting my thoughts went to . Im glad it wasn't a winter day ,I felt like I walked into my house and someone had a gun. I realized I need a safety back up plan. Get a coat and hoodie to keep in the car and a perch and towel . For those times Dave cant help me .  :pink: I laugh cause this is so nuts   :hehe2:

Put large cushions near you with a bath towel over them. If he flys at you use the cushion to protect yourself. When he's on the floor, or furniture, toss the towel over him, making sure it is over his head (& BEAK). While keeping his head covered pick him up and place him in his cage. He can bite that towel all he wants without biting you. You can also hold the cushion by the backside closest to you without exposing your hands. You don't have to buy cushions, make your own out of two dish towels or smaller bath towels (normal sized ones), not the huge ones & use pillow filling, or buy cheap pillows. Please don't throw a towel over him when he's flying as it could cause an injury (I'm sure you knew that, but newbies don't). Towels and cushions also work well for toe/foot chasers.

Ok, it seems this too has it in for you. Along with all the padding suggested  by others, keep special treats (let Dave figure out what the favorites are). Every time you see this bird, offer the favorite treat (Dave is never to offer the favorite treat it has to be only you). You will get bitten, I won't lie to you, but hopefully, eventually, Sassy will associate you with something he wants and figure out that he has to be nice to you to get it.
