Coqui's Birthday Present Is Done - Hanging Play Gym!

I finally finished Coqui's birthday present. It's hanging play gym. She has gone on it already and seems to like it!  I got the idea from a pet store I went to in Canada. They are available online at Amazon, but they were over $100 bucks for the size I made and retail for $150 in the pet shops!  That is what inspired me to try making it. Mine is much fancier, too!

I would imagine you feel very proud to know you have made this yourself! I have ordered lots of toy making parts and plan to do wonders with them, so watch this space

Blanca that is absolutely awesome!!  I can see why Coqui is enjoying it so much. You did a super job of making her a special B'Day gift.  You are definitely making elaborate play areas for your kids. 

I only wished I could hang things like that from my ceiling. I don't have a real ceiling as in 2X4 or 2X6 studs running cross it. Rather I have the dropped ceiling with the thin aluminum strips and tiles resting over that. All this is held up by heavy wire attached to steel beams just under the metal roof.  The aluminum strips are not sturdy enough at all for any weight added to them.
