Hooch is going through a false pregnancy complete with leaking teats. She could nurse a pup right now. We went to the vet just to make sure as she got out of the yard when my BIL left the gate open, unbeknownst to us.

Animals and humans alike can have a false pregnancy, with humans it's wanting to be preggers so bad their bodies act pregnant. Hooch is leaking because she's at the stage in her "pregnancy" where her body would normally do that (just as human womens breasts leak during pregnancy. She'll be fine when it's over & have a heat in about 4-5 months just like this never happened.
I'm just thankful T isn't old enough to "enjoy" his maleness.......yet. (asked the vet this also) T is only 4 months and 2 days old.

Why Hooch? Maybe because we had an unneutered male in the house? and it caused it, don't know for sure. We were assured by the vet that things should go back to normal after her "pregnancy" ends.

Hooch is still going through her "pregnancy". I'm worried that the vet was wrong, that we took her in too early. I hope she's not really preggers. I know nothing about these things, how long she'll be "pregnant", what to expect. What I do know is the rest of her teats are swelling with milk, that she's tiring easily, and is sleeping more & wanting to eat more often, but not finishing her bowl all at once. Gee, I wonder if she'll have false labor too. (can you tell I've had 2 days in a row off & too much time to think?

Poor Hooch! Sure sounds like the real thing to me. My black female standard poodle goes through these things, but not to the extent Hooch is. Nakia will get real hateful towards the other dogs, male & female. She will start licking her teats a lot & she thinks she is going to make a nest on my bed by my pillow.
My red standard poodle Mikkwa usually sleeps in that spot except when Nakia is in this mood. One day I caught her digging a hole in the top edge of my mattress topper. My very expensive Memory Foam topper!! Her teats will get a little swollen & she will lay on the bed with her legs open as if she was nursing puppies. I did put a stuffed animal against her one day & she layed there with it for over an hour. She's done this for 5 yrs now. She is the alpha female in my wolf pack, but all my males are fixed except our old Shih Tzu.
