Well, night before last, my sister's dog, Coby, broke his lead to poke his nose up a skunk's butt! [literally!]  It didn't end well.  Skunk 1 Coby 0.

If she can't get rid of the smell I can give you the name of a product that will and won't hurt the dog or anything else it touches.

OMG!  vomit  I can handle gangrene, nasty smelly wounds, poop you name it but oh no, not skunk.  That smell makes me physically ill.

When mine got sprayed a few yrs ago the only thing that helped was the baking soda peroxide baths. ugh NASTY!

So what is the product Sondra??  I may want to keep some on hand...just in case.

This the part where it gets kind of silly.  We'd always heard that tomato juice would get rid of the smell, but she didn't have any, so my mom said my sister used V-8.  It didn't work, of course.  So she had to take him to Petsmart to be defunkified.  While there, she was walking around the store while she was waiting for them to finish, and was talking to a little girl who suddenly said, I SMELL A SKUNK!  So then at the cashier, she was talking to the cashier and telling her about it, and the cashier was sympathetic, but told her a woman had told her there was a lady in the store that smelled like a skunk!

Evolve 3 Dead down wind Scent prevent. It can be bought or ordered through hunting stores (not your BOX stores, small shops). It's perfectly OK to use on humans and animals alike & it even works on furniture and pillows. Hooch has been skunked several times (you'd really think she'd learn, but not her  goober )

Forgot to mention the ingredients.

"Water, fermented vegetable enzyme, DMDM. Skin safe. No harsh chemicals, biocides, or heavy metals."
