we both don't give em meds on the weekends.  Some people do but we both just don't.  Basically the way I feel is that she really does not NEED it in her body on days that she does not need that focus so I don't give it to her.  I would if we had a bday party for her out somewhere-cuz some can't handle her ON meds NM off meds.  Or I used to if she was testing for a belt in karate.  But I don't want speed in her system if she does not need it basically.

I have read articles about how off of meds the kids learn to deal with their own body too and it makes sense.  I mean I am clearly ADHD but not to the extent of Cassie and never had meds.  I did learn in school how to study, like if I read it out loud to myself while walking circles in my room instead of to myself and sitting down I remembered it easier.  She does cope with chaos better now and knows when to walk out usually and how to calm herself.  And that may be just her getting older but she does need to learn to cope with her own body and what her own body is telling her.
