Apparently there was a sighting of a bear not far from us! bugeye

Then if you remember D talking about hearing the growl of some critter and the poop we found by the apple tree......well the landlord has an actual photo of some kind of creature that has been around here....actually here, as the pic is from his house and other's have reported it as well.  I have not seen the pic for myself...I should see if I can get a copy of it and post it.  Think he described it as grey-ish, long snoot, non bushy tail.  So whether it is a fox, coyote, chup, dog  or a mix of them all....it be not normal....or normal healthy looking..... :deer: Spooky!

Yes, get pics!! I wanna' see it! oh

If I'd had a phone with camera on it 4 yrs. ago, I could have shown ya'll a chupacobra. It was in the middle of the day on the 4 lane hwy. eating a dead critter in the median. It looked like a cross between a coyote & a Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican hairless) dog. They are weird looking creatures with a moth eaten looking body.  sad8

If I come visit ya', I ain't going out after dark!! Nope, I ain't gonna' go to the outhouse til sunup... dmblaf

The weird part about this post is that Mi amore and I were talking about chupa's just yesterday! And I was telling her how some people say they look like a xolo mixed with something else! So to see this post...odd!

Bears won't hurt you Unless it's a female with young, or you smell like food - for example spilled grease on your shirt then go outdoors.
Wolves won't hurt you nor will coyotes unless they smell the grease on your shirt. Bears are denning up soon so are eating everything they can get that is high in calories, like seeds and salmon. Be aware of your surroundings and know your exit areas, never run from an animal, walk backwards AWAY from it. NEVER look wolves or coyotes, or any animal in the eye, keep your head down but also keep the animal in your vision, this is a sign of submission. Looking animals in the eye is usually a challange to their authority.
Just keep your eyes open when you are outside and you just might be surprised what you see. If you can find a game camera you could set it up and see what is out in your yard at night, just put a lock on it so no-one walks off with it.

We do have a pair of night vision binoculars!

Mikey!  Ya don't shoot it just cuz it lives.  Live and let live.  Now come here Mikey Dizzle  :bruce:

I want pics too!  I have had bear out here too.  We have woods in the back of the neighbors house.  He ran as soon as he saw me, if I woulda known he was there I woulda stayed inside and watch.  He took off so fast not sure what kind he was I am assuming black bear.

The 3 piles of *bleep* I saw over the summer to go along with that growl in the woods in the pitch of night spooked the hell outta me.  :deer:  I never saw *bleep* like that nor have I heard a growl like that and I have encountered many wild animals in my time (Mar ...  :heehaw: ) :shh2:  To have my neighbor/landlord talk to me the other day and tell me what they saw and what others and the game warden have seen/heard about really threw some reality on this.  Wonder just what in the hell is out there?  confused  All them nights by my self with the fire and hearing cooky stuff now really has me wondering  thinkin3
