A # 1- (wishy's question) My ideal bird setup is to have a large room all their own where each bird can have his/her own space & freedom to play & feel as if it were out in the trees with lots of real live greenery & tree perches. Kinda' like a small rainforest dome type thingy, but attached to my home so I can enjoy it with them!  drool

A#2- (patti3birds' question) I did not celebrate Easter in any traditional way. No small kids around anymore to hunt eggs with, son lives about a million miles from me & is grown up.  cwy

I did not leave the house except to be in my yard, all day. Stayed home & enjoyed my little zoo, my heaven on earth.  hugu  I didn't really remind anyone about the true meaning of the holiday, but being around all the nature right in my home & spending time with my macaw boys certainly reminded me!  (Good question patti, I like it.)  thumb

Q.Did you use your tax refund on fiddie things, if you got one? If not, would you have used it for fiddie things, if you could get one?

A)- Mikey- When I look at a Catalina, they have neat feather patterns, but In general _ I personally dont think it does the blood lines any good by mixing the Breeds.
B)- Wishy- My Dream bird set up would be have them be in the room they are in now, but have my house face west, instead of north so that they could go on the back porch and me turn it into their aviary thumb

Q). Has any one ever wanted to own a Hyacinth? & How would you come up with the Money to buy?

I haven't paid a dime for any of my birds, so the only way to get a Hy would be to have someone give it to me. I was offered one (yes for free!), but Macs SCARE the crap outta me so I didn't take it.
In your opinion, how often should you bring a new bird into your home? In other words, do you feel there should be a waiting period between birds coming into your home?

It has bee 2 1/2 years since our last bird.  Yes.  There should be a waiting period and not always done out of impulse, the bird needing a home etc.  It has to be right all the way around as far as room, income, enough time to care for your current birds and more.

Q:  Would you set your parrots free in their native habitat if you knew they would survive and flourish?

Absolutely yes!

Would you euthanize your bird if it would save 10?
