when i was younger i had a good friend from New Orleans that had grown up eating violet candies. She would stock up whenever she went home and bring them back to us. i tried one and  vomit  they taste like violets smell. good smell.... baaaaad taste.

ditty we have a lady at work who's addicted to the Walgreens old fashioned jaw breakers. we order 3 cases a week. on truck day she comes in and buys a whole case, then a few times a week she will come back and wipe out our shelves. like you say, there are MUCH worse things to be addicted to.  dknow

Ditty, once you have smelled them you won't forget them.  They are in a pack like lifesavers only square and it is silver and purple ( I believe)  You have a section in your grocery store that has older or old time candies?

I love having dinner at Cracker Barrel. I always grab some necco wafers and a sugar daddy.  Remeber all the good old stuff? Candy buttons on the paper strips? Candy cigarettes? Bubble gum cigars? Candy necklaces? Pixie stix? Those little wax bottles filled with that nasty syrup stuff? LOL
