why are these scientists surprised to find that animals are more intelligent than most people give them credit for?? parrots, dolphins, come on people! these are thinking creatures, not just a pretty face! come to think about it, some people think that about some humans.    any pet owner will tell ya, dogs understand the language they are raised with. parrots? well we all here know they are vastly more intelligent than people give them credit for. <sigh> at least the scientific community is starting to see the truth, and then others will finally believe us.
