Wow Mi, That is one of D's best friends last name too!
Yes this was quite unexpected! to see all those babies! :deer:  Hard to tell in the photos but they are not tiny but a cute little size yet.  Yes momma was protective and grunting away...you should have heard them when they were eating!   Sounded like a pig farm!  I had mush for them away from the house, that was all eaten but I guess they wanted desert too.  Can't have that whole heard coming around every night!  They are great to watch though!

ya know, i think D is really training these little guys to guard the house from mildred's minions. he's acting like its just a cute little family wandering up, in reality he's building an army of anti-mildred defenders.  lol

The window screen part is scary!  Babes did not come out last night that I saw but I did see momma Raph having a heck of a time carrying a slice of bread to the tree.....was hard for her to hold it in her mouth and walk at the same time...big slice of italian bread!
Tell Mildred and her minions that the first out building is an old chicken coop that they can take refuge in and plan their attack!  laffhrd

Stephen, the other nurse at work, went to take out some trash the other day and there were 3 baby racoons in the dumpster. he said they were so freakin cute. They were stuck, and when they saw him they all stated to purr and all of them held their little paws up in the air for him to pick them up. He said it was the cutest thing he ever saw. He put a 2x4 in there and they all got out and ran to mama.
