So, I'm looking through the dehydrated products on Harmony House, and I am looking to make less of a protein based diet for the fids and more veggies. So, along with havign cooked veggies in their mash. they have foraging veggies that are tied all over the Tiel Metropolis. In the afternoon scatter a seed mix "forest floor" (table top) of the Metropolis, and randomly cover the seeds with hay and parley and broccoli. They both go nuts for the foraging opportunity. But, here's the thing, I want to use even less seed mix and more dehydrated veggies. But, vitamin packed is anything dehydrated?

Hi, it's me again ::) So, I googled difference between freeze dried an dehydrated foods and although, the process is different, basically does not reduce the nutritional value in either. both remove 98% of moisture. How do ya like that! Of course I'm sure there is a slight variance in quality of product and quality of process depending where u get it. But for the most part, I'm surprised more people don't do this. D, have you ever tried the dehydrated fake meats by harmony house?

I also add an assortment of grains and pastas to this mix. You can cook it up with about half water or feed as a crunchy meal. Here is the link to the recipe http://buffaloparrot.smfforfree3.com/index.php/topic,13.0.html I have tried dehydrating my own but it is too time consuming for the amount I need. No Debz, I have not tried there meats. I make me own Beef jerky ;)

I made My Fids Pine cones yesterday...Baked, slathered in Natural Peanut butter and rolled in seed/treat mix and stuffed with treats....After I saw that they freaked out a second...I bagged up the "baked" ones I had foraged from my yard and put them in the fridge, may be all for nothing....
