I guess she was just trying to let him know of the pecking order!....I guess she didn't have to literally do it though :twirl: Do you have any idea how old he is?

I have no idea. My friend didn't know how long his friend had been keeping this sennie.
He ate a little bit of banana and a small piece of apple today.

I think Mar is right, she is jealous of the new baby.. I know many human kids who pull the new baby's hair!!!! I am happy to hear she (he?) is already willing to try new foods!! I think this little guy will make big strides. Sondra is right, you have the touch

You will have your hands full with Cocoa. In general it is a rule of thumb to add 1 bird a year to a flock as this gives both your existing flock a chance to get to know the new member and it gives the new member a good chance to settle in. It generally takes us (humans) almost a year to really see a new birds personality and to be able to read their body language 100%. Cocoa has 3 new flock members to adjust to in a very short period of time, so she may tr to do harm to them because her nose is definitely out of joint. Give her one on one time where none of the other birds are out and don't pay any attention to the other birds. Maybe her own hiking time, or walk, or playground time, or simply family time. It doesn't have to be for very long - a half hour would be good a couple times a day, or take her to work once or twice a week by herself. She needs to know she is still your baby and you love her and with the arrival of the tiels and sennie she is getting less attention from her family which is only natural.

This is what I thought too. Cocoa's time has been divided amongst the fids. She getting real jealous now. She used to be gentle to the tiels but not anymore now. She chased them off when the tiels perched on my wife. She still goes out with me regularly. I want her to know that she is still #1.

E, is there any way that Cocoa can spend some time alone with the family, doesn't have to be for very long, just so she feels she's still #1 in their eyes too? Even if you have to take her into a bedroom and spend 15 minutes or so with her playing might help her - dunno, just throwing out an idea. IMO, Grays seem to take change harder than other birds, they are birds of habit.

You are welcome. I've tried many things to keep an even keel among one bird and another! LOL!! Our U2 gets his mommy and daddy time when we walk the dog, no other birds to compete with and we walk about 3 miles with him when the weather permits. He also gets daddy time in the mornings the very first thing. I used to take him into the bathroom with me when I showered before work and he would run atop the shower doors, then have his shower while I dressed and did my hair, now I get up 3 hours earlier so he lost that special time, so I give him his bathroom time in the afternoons after we walk. It's all a matter of finding what works for you and your flock. Our Grey gets his daddy time at night when we go to bed. He comes onto the bed for an hour or so and gets his head rubbed and talked to and played with by my hubs. I am the lowly transporter and food server for our Grey so I don't count. LOL
