Hi there welcome back!  Nice to hear from you.  How is sweet Orrin?????!!!!!

Haha, not so sweet anymore.  He has gotten increasingly territorial of his cage, play gyms, and me.  He's tried to dive bomb one of my brothers, and I can only take him out of his cage with a stick, because he will bite 10 times out of 10.  naughty  I'm blaming it on the hormones and truly hope it is all a phase!  In the mean time, Orrin has continued learning new words and phrases--when I cover his cage at night, he will say "night night" and "gimme kissy kissy?!" and make kissing noises.  He likes yelling "how are you?!" and "Whatcha doin'?" to my little brother when he walks into the room--then the talk gibberish to each other.  It's pretty cute!  happyjack

Rylee is still a cuddly and sweet little baby.  Lady is still kicking at somewhere north of 14 years of age, and AJ is still as fun as ever!  Penny and Keiko are obviously doing well.  happyjack  Daphne seems to be wearing out a bit, but that is to be expected with a budgie that was kept on a seed-only diet for many years of her life (she is over 6 now).  I'm glad I know better now!

AJ is a black masked/peach faced hybrid lovebird.  He is extremely smart and his favorite things are his cozy tent and the barrel of fun toy.  He can open his up before the conures can!  clap  He used to say "whoo hoo!" when he got excited, but he hasn't done that in a long time.  I need to replace the batteries in his talking toy!  happyjack

I was able to get some pictures of the two babies earlier today.  They are so cute!  The oldest baby is 3 days old and the younger baby is 1 day old in these pictures.  There is such a size difference between the two!

I love their little wings!

It looks like the older baby's eye is starting to open up a bit:

I've been busy making some little bird diapers for them to wear once they are old enough.  I hoping if we start early with the training, they will come to accept the diapers.  Then the could be allowed down in the carpeted basement!

Yes, I am going to start their training once they have feathers--right now I think they would get too cold coming out of the box.  happyjack

Here's a picture I snapped this morning (5/3/2011):

The feathers are really starting to come in on Baby #1.  Today, Baby #1 is a week old!  happyjack

AWww!!

I always loved Keiko's tail!! His entire clutch had long tails, I think it was his mom that had the tail like that.

Baby number 3 joined us this morning!  Totally wasn't expecting it, since I calculated the last egg was supposed to hatch on May 1st.  Good thing I didn't throw it out!

Baby number 2 (pictured on the top) was looking at me, but blinked at the camera flash.  They are all so dern cute!  loveuk

I took pictures on 5/6/2011 of the babies.  I believe chick number 1 is going to be a blue and white dominant pied, and I have decided to name him/her Savvy.  happyjack

Here's Savvy!   happyjack
