Its been a while since I lost my boys but man I sure miss them still. For those who never got the chance to see them or hear stories about them I wanted to share about them today.

My conure boys were part of my original flock, they are the birds who got me through my fear of birds. They are the reason I adore conures.

Truman...where do I even start with him. What an amazing bird he was! I am so glad I had a chance to adopt such a fantastic bird! He was a Waglers conure, something I have never seen again since him. He was so funny and he loved Titus so much! I remember one day going into the bird room and getting trapped back there because I had bare feet and Truman was on the floor protecting the area around Titus' cage. He was almost as big as an amazon and he could sure deliver a bite. This was the only time he was aggressive toward me, if he was near Titus. He was a mommas boy, and oh so sweet. One time I was on the couch with him and Shane sat down next to us, He charged Shane trying to attack him for getting close to his momma! loveuk Now some pictures of him:

I have not read or looked at this in years... cry

Titus...talk about a bundle of love. He was my snuggle buddy, sometimes when im snuggling with Jax I slip back to the days with Titus when he would nuzzle into my neck or rest his head on mine. He was a gold-capped conure and truly one of a kind.

Mar made this for me and I still love it

Maliki...Maliki had been a breeder bird when I got him, and had lost his mate to being starved to death. Yet he was such a good boy and youd never know he had a bad life. He was so nice to everyone even other animals...He was a cin. Green cheek

Carter..The wild boy. Carter had never even had a name before he came to us. He was a wild caught Mitred conure and never tame. We worked hard with him and made great progress. We adored him even though he was not all that nice. He sure was handsome though.

My sweet boys...I know you are watching over our flock and I am thankful to have you as angels but I wish I still had you here with me in person. I still love you my boys! You will be forever in my heart.

How beautiful your boys were!
It is terrible that their time with you wasn't longer.  hugu

As they years pass I find that I forget the things that matter so much, like the way their voices sounded and the things they said. I will never forget their faces, or the way each one smelled though. I do remember Truman being so excited around baby birds and when the baby tiels would cry he would say "ahhhh little Monsters!" and I would laugh and laugh. I remember Titus dancing on my knee to country music and shoving his little head into bags of treats to pick his own. I remember how when we got them Truman was supposed to be shanes bird and Titus was supposed to be mine but Truman took to me and Titus to shane, until one day when Titus decided her preferred me too lol. Maliki just loved to play, he would swing from his hanging gyms all day long. And I know he said his name, sometimes when Talon talks I expect to hear "Maliki" come from him because they sound so much a like. Carter didn't know just how happy he made us when he would decide to come out of his cage and hang out in the living room near us. He was never hands on but just having him in out line of sight with no cage bars between us made us happy.

My boys where very special to me, they were THE boys. I have Talon and Jax now, and they are now dubbed the boys also. I adore my conures, all of my fids...but conures will always hold a special place in my heart.

I cant imagine my life without the shriek of a conure, ive been there before and I dont ever want to be again. You have no idea how empty the house felt without that shriek.

Here are some videos of Titus, 3rd one is my favorite
