yay! i started putting it together today. i went in for a few hours this morn, inventory friday so i'm working alot to help get ready. so anyway, i'm putting twiggy's new cage together. the box is a bit beat up and the cage is not nearly as well protected as ollie's was. but only a couple things got bent and they were easily bent back into shape. i've put the front, back, and sided together with the provided bolts. i go to attach the food dish holders. first i'd like to point out that they are pretty neat, i think even skittles would have trouble removing these bowls! will get ya some pics in just a bit. so i unscrew the bolts that are attached to the connectors. i'm clumsy, always have been, and i dropped one of the bolts. its gone. i guess there is a doorway to another dimensions in my kitchen floor, cause i looked everywhere, and it's not there.  cnfsd   i just cleaned in there so there's not a bunch of stuff everywhere. i picked up the two pieces of packing paper that was there, still no bolt. so at this point i'm so mad i could chew nails.   madst  so rather than start throwing things like a 5 yr old, i decided to come in here and see what's happening at BP. i'm hoping that by the time i get back in there it will have returned from that alternate dimension.  ipray

okay, went back to find the bolt.... no bolt.  dknow  moved the other bowls, there it was under them. so i got it together. its next to twiggy's old cage right now. it may take her a bit longer to accept this one.... we'll see.

so here are some pics....

oh my goodness what an improvement!  that is a really -nice looking cage, all twiggy needs to do is plant some geraniums out front and hire a gardner LOL
I love how the other guys are looking at it, have you ever seen men on moving day? they come over and talk square footage, the age and make of the furnace, and maybe the fence LOL..  no5 chatbugs I could imagine them all taking shop over there..!!!  dmblaf

I like how Skttles went into the cage and explored it for Twiggy so that twiggy will know his new piece of real estate won't EAT him~ LOL!

he was checking it out!

now, for the blessing,  *wishy lifts a basket off the ground..
(in place of wine, we will use grape juice.  we don't need any intoxicated parrots! LOL!)
*twiggy taps beak on bottle of Welch's 2010-a very good year
....I forgot what the wine was supposed to represent-joy?
*Ollie grabs the bottle, opens the lid, and knocks it back; drinky hands the empty bottle to Skittles then wanders off to his cage, muttering to himself and turns on the game...snoring is heard minutes later from his Lazy Boy.
Skittles takes the bottle and goes to his landing pad, where he serenades the whole neighborhood with show tunes and theme songs from Tozie's favorite shows.
Twiggy, Wishy, and Tozie recover and shrug their shoulders, Twiggy peers into the basket for the next thing.
"bread so you may never know hunger"
...*twiggy chomps on the bread and runs away with a chunk, returning a minute later feeling smug.
"and salt so life will always have flavor"
...*although Wishy has replaced the salt with millet seeds, and Twiggy runs off with that and stuffs it in the pantry in the new cage.
then returns for the basket, which he puts in his new foyer.

Wishy wanders over to Ollie's new house and leaves a basket of beer and pretzels near Ollie's tv, he'll get it later.  thumb

well, i FINALLY got twiggy into her new cage. yup. here i am 10 days later...  dmblaf  what can i say. i have been putting off fighting twiggy to get her out of her bedroom. and i didnt want to disassemble her nest. but i had to do it today. so she is in her new room eating some seed. she seems to like it okay. there are a few perches i need to repostion. but i had to see her in there before i could decide exactly where i wanted them.

yup. i didnt even realize they were there when i bought it. but they are kinda cute.
he cage looks smaller but its not. the dimensions are slightly different and its built lower to the ground, but she has the same amount of square footage.  lol
