wow, I thought all birds were banded in the US?  isn't it a good idea? |

i thought there were laws about banding as well.  even tho i had skittles' band removed i still have it and i have the vet bill where it was removed in case there is any question about it. |

I believe if they are not banded they can not be "sold". Our babies are not banded and some have been removed by our vet with the band and a certificate with it as well. I personally do not like them as far as them having them on all the time and not for ID reasons. Not sure if the laws are different in other states.

 Good info Vito! Jane's band had to be removed as it was crushed...how we have no idea. Julio took Chico's off :ugstpd: and Kito's did not fit properly so it is off as well. I do have all their baby bracelets though!

I looked at the AG laws for the state you live in and birds sold must be banded or be micro-chipped.
