Mar went to the store today to by ingredients for homemade oatmeal cookies.  Behind her back I used some to make Parrot cookies smile3  Hope she still has enough stuff? think ashamed  I honestly have never made a cookie in my life.  I am a cook, not a baker dknow  I think they turned out good, though a tad dry cause I cookesd them a little longer due to having a raw egg in there.  They are still cooling but gave Kito a little cooled piece and he liked it! clap  Then again he likes everything confused  We shall see what the others in the gang think when ready.

- oats
- flour
- 1 egg
- apple sauce
- diced apples
- crushed walnuts
- palm oil
- pumpkin pie seasoning

mmmmmmmmmmmm, they look good!

Next time add a handful of flour and you'll have softer cookies. When you add egg you have to add flour to balance it out or you'll have dry product. (same goes with oil/butter)

not bad. i made some birdie bread yesterday. it turned out pretty good... tho its blue. <snicker> i put some crushed frozed berries in it and the blueberries and blackberries turned the batter blue. lol. anyway, skittles was so excited when he saw it he flapped! lol! they all enjoyed it cause its been so long since they've had any.

anyway, your parrot cookies look good!  thumb

as far as the cook v/s baker? i'm not bad at both but a master of neither.

1 cookie fed the whole flock, I added a bit to everyone's breakfast.  It seems as though everyone enjoyed them.  They crumbled nicely to give everyone a little bit.  Mahl will do this little laugh or start to talk when he thinks something is yummy! dmblaf
