Add water with the aloe because if you don't it gets itchy and he'll pick at it. Use a 50/50 mix, it'll still itch some, but not as bad as 100% aloe and he'll be more likely to leave it alone.

Aloe must be 100% PURE aloe juice (liquid), nothing added. It's usually found where organic supplements are sold.

Look in drug stores, most carry it or they will order it for you. If I remember right one brand name is Mothers.

I am not sure but they may have it at Walmart?  So you have a FeelRite near you?  They have a frequent buyer card that gets stamped and we just got at least $5 off our last visit there.

Poor squigg. Mango has just lost his scab in the past few weeks from our last incident here which Was back the week after Julians debacle. Toe injures are so widely varied and so sensitive. Atleast you caught it quickly and are staying on top of it :) I'm sure he will be well in no time :)

He has been blood free for 2 1/2 days and is healing very well! clap  I think the "hospital" perches worked great!  Tomorrow we will unwrap the perches.

:twirl: I just wrapped some of the perches he uses most in a "hurt free" wrap. (like a stretchy gauze but not quite like an ace bandage or pet wrap) Just to try to help protect from any worn wood or from the cement until it healed.

I know since getting Corby, he's had a little nip, from an unknown *COUGH Budgie COUGH* source. Bilbo has also had a little nip. Nothing bad though. Just enough to draw a wee but of blood.

Glad Squiggy is doing better!
