ok, I have been meaning to do this for a WEEEK now, but the hubby came down with a virus and then an upper resp inf. so i was side tracked with my 3rd kid.  dmblaf Now he is feeling better and I got to go back to regularly scheduled programming! soooooooooooo

I took the toy shop bin out and spread the contents on the coffee table.

my wee elf offspring got all excited (they mobbed me!) and toy making began in earnest.. here is what we came up with for Julian:

my son's:

my girl's:

Mine:

Then we started making some for the budgies:

my girl's:

mine:

my son wanted to do a cooperative toy; each person make a part and then we combine them (!)
so here is my part:

my girl's part:

my son's part near completion:

all together now..:

he is separating the parts so you can see them:

WHEW!  sweaten

If you have shredders here's and easy toy, nothing but coffee filters on a choke chain. (I might have posted this before)

that does not look easy! LOL!

the best part? while we are doing this they were taking safety into consideration: "no loops so can strangle (hang) himself"
"no really fuzzy stuff he can tangle his toenails in and get stuck again", my daughter vetoed a cookie cutter because "he could get his head stuck in there". it was really neat.  thumb

Great job Elevns! thumb  Tupi would go mad beating up those beaded ones!  :bruce: and they all love coffee filters/ cupcake holders!  I like the idea with the clay/cookie cutters!  I just bought some baby plastic spoons I am going to make into something, for Mahl esp.  I think he will really like them, he destroys the baby keys.  Oh yeah, and all the popcicle sticks we all just got, think I will start to put those out....Squigg loves those but prefers when I hold them for him to chew on slaph
