Where Obtained and how you came together: Was a gift to myself for starting college. I obtained Chico in 2004 from a gentleman who had wanted to get back into parrots since having to leave his pet macaw overseas when he came home from military deployment. Unfortunately he was worried about Chico around his two young sons as Chico got bigger, and placed an ad on Birdmart. I saw the ad, and having never heard of the species did some research and decided I had to meet him. I drove to Kentucky to see Chico and fell in love. The first picture I saw of Chico was of him riding in the man's son's tricycle basket.
Favorite Foods: Grapes, grapes, and grapes. Did I mention he loves grapes?
Favorite Toys: Goofy links, wiffle balls he can throw to mommy, laundry
Medical Issues/Concerns: Chico plucked his feathers the first time I went on vacation and left him in the care of my parents. Since that time if I go out of town he either a) comes with me or b) stays in his cage in my home and a pet sitter is brought in to look after him to keep this from happening again.
Quirks, Habits, etc..: Chico can play patty cake and will say "give me five" while lifting his foot and wanting a high five (or is it a high four? lol)
