cwy  That was so sweet Wishy!

I honestly did not remember when All Saint's Day was......but seriously, this morning for some strange reason it popped into my head.  I have no idea why maybe because of Halloween, but my gram (I spent many nights with her) always said we were not to go down stairs during the night (if you had to shoo shoo) because of this night and the saints spirits would be out.  This is really freaky to have me thinking this very morning of this and you posting it!  I think my gram is looking down on me!

Happy Halloween used to be Happy Hallow's Eve.  old english and many years changed it to Happy Hallow e'en then to what we have today. it is the Eve before the day of the Hollows, (saints/sacred); and the day that the veil between this world and the next is very thin.  When I reseached it last year, I found it in MANY cultures, (even ones that didn't talk to each other) since ancient times.  that was kinda eerie.
the jack o lanterns keep the bad ones away and guide the good ones home for the evening, so they can visit with the living family.

I am glad that you liked what I did here, I honor my lost ones every year on All Saints Day; also there is a service at our church; a single church bell tolls and a candle lit for each person lost the past year from Nov 1 to Nov 1 This year. It is very somber but not sad, very respectful-it is a great way to honor them :)  the Mexicans do it best, I think. (Dia de Los Muertos). they have the person(s) favorite foods out for everyone to enjoy, their favorite songs, they fix up their graves, tending to them;  and it ends up being like a huge picnic into the night with music and candles and family from all over. a wake without the sadness.  happyjack

..So I honor Miah for her toe kissies, Buddy for his cool wave, Gus for being good to Sophz birds (remember when one got out and was sitting next to him when sophz got home? unharmed?) , Butter and bean for the cuteness and joy they brought BF, Misty for her beauty and poise even though she wasn't a favorite in the flock, she had her pride despite it all, and Harley, although I didn't really hear a lot of him, he was special to Angelicaorbeals, and so to us too.

If there is anyone I left out, i am sorry, please please add them :)

that is sooo cool Wishy, interesting history lesson there.  Did ya know that the witches cone shaped hat was to pull the energy into a cone to keep the energy there?

Wishy, this is Perfection. More than words can describe.

Yeah, Misty might not have been a fave in the flock, but she was VERY loved by me. I love them all the same...Maybe Misty a little more, just cause of her little issues.

To everyone who has lost a pet in the past year...Just think about the good times. Try to remember how perfect those pets were, despite the lows. Think of it this way...You love them, and they love you--Forever and Always.

I love you Wishy  loveuk You have a wonderful soul. Seeing Gus in that photo taken just days before he passed reminded me of just how strong he was. Even at his sickest he still had that playful kitten inside him. Thank you for remembering him    Thank you for remembering all those special ones we lost this past year.
