seeing ditty's post about yoshi's feather reminded me of a flight feather ollie molted a few days ago. it is really weirdly shaped.

front view:

back view:

notice it has very short filaments on one side and really long ones on the other. all skittles flight feathers are  more balanced. so i found this one pretty unique.

and here's a tail feather just cause i think its pretty:

I think that is wierd too, I have seen that on Zuri as well.  She has these long ones that are double in width on one side.  Wierd.

That tail feather is georgeous!

the budgies too. Victor is the only one who is fully flighted, and I must have a full set of wings by now (that he has molted) I am thinking of arranging them in order so they look like wings on a piece of paper. the best part? when I saw your pic Tozie, I said "hmm, that looks like an amazon feather" before i read the subtitles there! thanks to the feathers Zima has sent me i have an album and I think amazons have the prettiest feathers. something else? when i find a fetaher now, I can tell where on the body it belonged, and if the flight feather was from the right or let wing (as I am sure we all can here).. That is new to me since the past 2 years of educating myself heavily on birds, and my husband thinks I am a genious. LOL!  I wonder why they are wider on one side of the vein than the other? my guess is like flaps on a plane, drag and vertical maneuvers.  I am just loving this.
