Do any of you have a climbing net?  If so where did ya get it?  i have been looking around a bit.  I want one for HW.  He has taken down the curtain rod that I had in the kitchen near his cage.  (been waiting for that)  But he climbs on the little foot that sticks out to hold the rod. laffhrd  his 2 big ol feet barely fit on there.  haha  He looks like a giant wall adornment.  So I figured I would leave them there and hook up a climbing net for him to play on.

We don't have a net but a wicker like one...too small for HW.  What about making your own? dknow......I wonder if a fishing store would have one...in the right size and rope?  I think BF had one, not sure if big or strong enough for HW though.

I don't think this one is made with the right rope but it is cool!;

i have one. got it at petsolutions
http://www.petsolutions.com/Jungle-Fever-Climbing-Rope+I71000064+C67.aspx

have only had it up once. its one of the back up toys i havent used yet. but its a good size, not huge, but big enough for some climbing and playing around. skittles loves to climb so i have swag hooks in my ceiling over his cage and hang things from it. i used to put cut coke bottles by the roof to keep him from picking all the popcorn off the ceiling. but he doesnt do it anymore. i also get sisal rope at walmart and hang it around the cage with knots tied at intervals.

I dont believe he could get stuck. he hasnt played with it yet. just looked at it and at me like "okay, its a net. big freaking deal."  dmblaf  like i said, its a back up i havent used yet.  the quicklink is too small for the bars of his cage, but i planned on hanging it from the ceiling so its no biggie for me. i just noticed it when i went to take the pic for ya.

here's one of it hanging on his landing pads, i had to tie it with sisal twine for the pic:

and one on the floor stretched out as much as i can, it stretches more when its hanging. i put a ruler in the middle to give you something to compare the size.

in looking at it i would call this an outside the cage toy. the holes are big enough for a macaw head but a tight fit for the rest of the body. but hanging up it stretches and if its outside the cage you can monitor any trouble. just my opinion . btw it has quicklinks on all four corners.

A friend of mine uses plastic lattice as a climbing aid, she hangs it from the cieling and off her playgym. She also hangs toys from it. When she made her playgym for her macaws she used lattice as part of the playgym.
