Seeing D's mush reminded me that I wanted to share my new birdie bread with ya all.

I use the Jiffy corn bread all the time as a base but this time I used the Jiffy raspberry muffin mix.  Used the whole eggs shell and all, instead of milk I used unsweetened OJ, then added a jar of baby pears for the liquid, then chopped brazil nuts, hazelnuts, flax seed, soy nuts, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, snow peas, red peppers.  I put it all in a square pan and baked.  They dug in, even HW said his ohhhh and went to town.

I have an apple cinnamon one to try next.

I use unsweetend all natural applesauce to replace the liquid, add cooked squash, broccoli, peas & sweetpotato, or Applesauce, cinnamin, all spice, then chunk pears, apples, peaches, bananas (any fruit I find on sale)and bake & sprinkle with cinnamin when done, cut into cubes and freeze. Some people dice all the fruit into small bits and mix with applesauce and sprinkle with cinnamin and put into ice cubes trays & freeze this, then just pop them out and their birds eat it - I have one that will out of six birds, so I don't make it often.
