For the last 3 months I have been making lazy mush/mash for the guys as it has been so hot and costs a lot to make.  It has cooled down and figured I would make a huge batch today.  With shopping, prepping, cooking, and bagging the total time took 4 1/2 hours and $90 dollars ashamed  It made a good months worth of dinners for 16 Parrots.

To help thin for processing

Rinsed Pinto Beans, Navy Beans, and Lentils.  All Organic.

Some organic Coconut, Almond slivers, Flax seeds, and raw Pumpkin seeds.

Red Bananas and Hard boiled eggs with shells ready to get processed.

Cut up and prepped for processing fruits and veggies which included... Carrots, Grapes, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Green Beans, Raw sweet peas, Tomatillos, Pablano Peppers, Tomatoes, Jalepeno Peppers, Kale, Kiwi, Mango, Pineapple, Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Oranges and...? think

Everything in the processor.. 10 loads!

All processed and ready to be mixed in with grains.

The pre soaked grains from yesterday.  Amaranth, Quinoa, Barley, Rye, Bulgar Wheat, Buckwheat, Whole oat groats, whole grain Couscous, Cracked Corn, Orzo, Brown Rice (instant), and Kamut.

Everything mixed together and ready for bagging.

Bagged and ready for the freezer.

Have fun cleaning Momma!! lol

I thought he was just shaking the finger too.... dknow
I would probably try the mush....minus the egg shells!  sad8
Ditty...We get the Amarynth local.  Either one of our local stores or the health food place.  D will know.  If you ever look into it and it is expensive to ship if you buy online just let me know, I am sure I could send a few bags in flat rate envelope or small box.
Kito is our biggest food dumper....this mush, the original one D makes and not the easier one, is the only one that Kito won't dump or only a little.   :ugstpd:

I did not know that was a middle finger also, may have to get rid of it.  Or is it just a tsk, tsk? dknow  Amaranth we get at our supermarket,in the health food or organic sections.  There is also a health food store here that has it.  Up until a few years ago I never saw it.  It is probably the healthiest grain even more than Quinoa.  I get either Arrowhead Mill or Bob's Red Mill.  Yeah, the time and $ are worth making this mush.  You have at least a months worth of already prepared food and no need to chop fruits/veggies daily until it runs out as this already has it all in there. wink1

Hmm, I can't even find it in our health food stores around me.  I have wanted to try it and the flour for amarynth bread.  I may have to ask my mom's boyfriend who spends time in boston all the time to check out some stores.
