Hey Debz I emailed Peppers pa and asked what happen with Amazonz and Birdlover76 on the BC forum and he said Amazonz had a falling out with someone and asked to have his account deleted and that wiped out most of the pics of Starburst, but Birdlover76 is still on but not that often, I don't think she has or will post pics of startburst...dont know why. Its too bad I enjoyed both of them and of course the pictures of Starburst.

BirdLover76 stopped posting pictures of Starburst for awhile because someone (although I don't know who, even though I have my hunches) was telling her bad things about breeding birds. You know, the stuff like "Don't breed birds, because there are so many birds out there that need homes" etc. So I just said that if we didn't have breeders around, then in the next generation there would be NO parrots left at all! Thankfully she started posting more pictures of Starburst again, but unfortunately not as many as before. :(  She's a beautiful bird, that's for sure!

I'm here too looney!  ;)

That's too bad birdlover76 feels like she can't post any pictures of Starburst!  I could be wrong, but I think that she was posting pictures of her baby on the birdboard, but that site seems to be down right now.

I read somewhere once (I forget where...) that when a bird owner purchases a handfed baby, they are more likely to rescue their next parrot as opposed to getting another baby.  This makes sense to me--a parrot that is rescued is more likely to have behavorial or physical issues that a newish bird owner might not be able to handle.  I think what they were trying to say is that without breeders, the resuces might be more full than they are now.  I might have read it all wrong, but that is what I thought it meant.  I know I was a bit nervous around conures and other medium sized parrots before I got Ori because I was so used to budgies and tiels.  After I got more comfortable with him, I felt more confident with my next parrot and I adopted Marisol from a slightly neglectful situation.  People shouldn't be bashing BirdLover76 just because she wants a baby--after all, all parrots start out that way. :)
