The day I moved Leo and Baby, I pulled Mary's batch of 5 eggs. And I took all the finch nests out. The only finches with a nest are Baby and Leo. They are all sleeping in the silk flowers and doing fine. I have not had a single egg. Thank god. Now that calls for dancing banana's!!!!!!

 towel  hee hee hee

I have at least one newborn!!!!  Humphrey, Errol and Gloria have been hiding a little present from me!  They are the three Society finches.  I've had them about three years and although they've shared a little canary-type nest for all that time there have never been any eggs.  Last week I hear peeep peeep peeep.  Look in and there is a wee tiny little Society finchie looking back at me!  awwwww.  There may be more but each parent settles down over them if I try to peek. They are all three wonderful parents and share the duties.  I put some extra soft bedding in the cage to help them out but Bithia and Julian stole it all and made a nest for themselves in a corner.  I will not allow Bithia to hatch eggs.  She is one of the original finches from Barb at SCBR that came in there with a deformed beakie.  No babies for Bithia.

I wasn't planning on any finchie babies but there it is....sneakie little Societies stupid1
