well, i got up this morn to a stiff rat.  sad8 little snowball didnt make it. not too sure why. i only played with him a few minutes last nite. i was exhausted and wanted to go to bed early. but when i held him, he wasnt too active. i figured it was cause he was getting used to me. guess he just didnt feel good. when i got up, he was in the bowl i had put in for poop. so, now i have the little cage and no rat. guess it'll come in handy if i have to keep any mice for the snake. i really didnt have time to bond with him too much. but i hate that he died.  at least his last days were fairly happy. he had lots of food and at least a little attention.

oh no, sorry tozie :(  I guess the little twitches or whatever were something? maybe he was not healthy like you suspected, you sure gave him a good life, even if it was a short one, and he didn't have the "fate" intended for him at birth. We all should be so lucky.   grouphug  at least he made you think a little differently about them.  I know it is nature for some of them to be food, but you opened your heart to this little guy and came out better on the other side.

I think Snowball was meant to come to you, so he could know love and you could experience life with a rat. I know it was a brief stay but you got a little peek at how loving they are. Im so sorry he didnt make it :( You did a good job though Tozie. RIP Snowball!

Tozie,
Another way of looking at little snowballs short time with you is no only did he receive Love loveuk but he was also not eaten by your snake....He very well could have had something wrong with him that could have made your Snake sick.
Be thankful that you had his cute self.
Sorry for the loss hugu

so sorry about snowball honey. he was loved by you even for a short time. pets of all kind come to us for many reasons we may not know. maybe you could get yourself another rat as a pet someday. they are pretty darn cool pets.
