I read this book before Christmas and actually wrote a scathing review on amazon.com.

By the end of the book you will probably be so p*ssed off it isn't funny  :bruce: I won't relate the ending here, but let's just say that the woman was a complete moron and caused harm to more than one bird that was in her care and had the guts to write about it.  :pipen:

I remember AC posting how pissed she was. Someone on my other forum actually gave the book to her macaw to destroy...said it was poetic justice.  dknow I haven't read it.

I got this book from the library last week, read it with the fids. I understand why some people may get angry at the end but I think it can also be a lesson to other people...I don't know, just my opinion. Was a okay read for me. Though it may be returned with peas in it.  smile3

"Though it may be returned with peas in it.  "  laugh

I was stunned by the ending, but I applaud her for trying to make the bird more comfortable; and her husband's pateince with the whole situation was stellar.  atleast she was in a good home until her death.  it showed her commitment to the bird's happiness, even to the point of having to give up dressers and wear hats in the house to duck flying parrots. a lot of people would not have gone to such lengths...
