Yes real. Mallards, I was just reading, are notorious for raping females. Because of their long "shvuadells" they sneak up on the female without having to wait for her consent. !!! bugeye

The area that gets stimulated is the vent area in both the male and the female. When the vents rub together it signals the release of sperm from the male and the acceptance of the sperm from the female. So, if a male can find and object that creates the same sensation as a females vent would then he would "do the deed" in his own mind anyway even though there is no "true" female to accept the "package"

Holy dong duckman  bugeye No wonder why the females are continually trying to get away!

D is probably sitting on his hands to fight the urge to add something to this conversation! LOL!  headhammer

whether I like it or not, I get to see sparrow porn all the time in the yard, (oh GEEZ get a room, willya?) ..the kids think they are "playing" or wrestling or whatever and I will leave it at that for the time being! I always wondered if they kinda aim for the target and hope for the best, since there is nothing "external'.  Victor "LOVES" his concrete perch (ow!) and has been going for it a few times a day...

LOL DEbz you crack me up with the way you label your pictures sometimes! "schmekle!"    laffhrd

By the way, while on the topic.. Has anyone ever seen one of ISABELLA ROSSELLINI'S "Green Porno" on the Sundance Chanel.   You may find this helpful, Squish Squash..er..Wishy.  :twirl:  I gotta say, it really might be a tiny bit racy because she puts some adult humor into it... Never the less, very informative! I did not know snails where so...er..."lively"!!

ya know, i thought this was  a very interesting topic. so last nite at dinner we were all talking and i piped up " ya know, parrots don't have winkys. " you know, kinda a conversation piece. and everyone looked at me like i had lobsters crawling out my ears. it was dead silence. hmmm. i don't get it. they weren't as interested as me. <snicker> even the birds were quiet, of course that was probably cause they were eating their chicken and mashed potatoes. we refer to dinner-time as "silence of the birds" . <giggle>

The difference between kids and parrots is that it's funny when a parrot talks back.
