I purchased a cage from them because I liked the innovative ideas they came up with (easy to put together/clean, bowls that are integrated into the door so they cannot be removed by the parrt, only through the feeder doors, etc).

The cage I received had dings and dents and scratches and scraped chipping paint (try to clean it more than once and see how fast it rusts!) missing parts, missing welds, poor welds, and rust (light and heavy).  After a month and much pulling of teeth, the manufacturer finally agreed to replace it..and the replacement was in worse shape. So this is not a fluke unfortunately, but a glimpse into the quality of these products.  Poor customer service, poor quality control.

It seems to me they have an issue at their warehouse that needs to be addressed! :bruce:  There is no telling what kind of buffoons they are letting use the forklifts in that place. :dufus: :ugstpd:

I wonder how  many other folks get product in that condition?  You shouldn't have to piece together a suitable cage from two cages.  The one they sent should have been right in the first place!  Those big cages [and yours would be such a nice one if it wasn't, well BROKEN]  cost a pretty penny and you paid that and you should get what you expected and paid for.  I'd  want my money back and like Debz said, go to petsmart or petco and get something temporary.  They have no business sending defective product, not once, but twice!  Everybody would not know how to salvage parts like that and would be just stuck with something messed up!  If you decided to go get a smaller temporary cage, you need to watch out for them, too!  I swear, quality has gone out the window these days! slaph

Sorry for your bad experience through Marvelous Pet Supplies :( Thanks for spreading the word about their horrible cages and customer service though.

yep Loonz, brand spankety new.

I think it is not just the warehouse, I think it is the manufacturer too.  they have to pack them somewhere right? don't they have a say on how things are packed up and what conditions they are kept in? there must have been so much moisture for the rust to be the way it was, it formed between the cage and the plastic bubble wrap.  the workmanship in the way it was welded wasn't the best, and the paint was chipped all over the place. and it had time to rust there too.  I was very diplomatic in my letters, and I hope it embarrased them to improve, but I doubt they give a flying fig.  If you are going to be a new innovative start-up in this economy, you had better have the goods.  they are not going to last.

I saved a looong time for this, and paid $250 w/shipping (and that is ON SALE for this cage!). that is a lot of money in this house. a little $ was given to me after my grandparents died, and I saved all my Christmas and birthday $ for the last 2 years.

I just wanted to put this out there to warn would-be customers, tell the world my Petsmart and Petco ladies!

is there anyplace else that's very public that you could post a review of your experience? check to see if they are on amazon or other sites that give various companies advertising. i will tell everyone i meet...okay, don't know many bird owners around here but i will see if my vet, the only one who sees birds in this county, will put up a review. i guess they are unwilling to give you your money back and keep the whole kit and kaboodle? cause that is just crap.

I already put a review up on Amazon today, as well as Bird Channel and here... word of mouth advertising either negativee or positive is the absolute best way to get word around.

here are pics of the "new" cage... the round green parts are on the corners of the base, I put the good corner up for comparison..

please don't.  I just want this to be over.

thank you for thinking of me though, I don't want anymore trouble from any of them. they have made life very stressful for a whole month, and I am supposed to be enjoying the fact that I am getting my bird, finally! they e-mail the people I got it from and are not nice, my stomach drops when I see an email from them, like how it feels when you see a bully at school.

I got my cage, they got their money, it's done.  I just wanted to warn all of you about it.
