So how far apart do they lay them? All at once, or a day apart? Except for the rare finding of an egg with the budgies I used to have, I have never dealt with anything like this. Not where they were actually trying to sit on the eggs or anything like that. Dumpling the cockatiel is protective over her eggs, and Babycakes has been sitting on hers too. Poor little things, the eggs are duds. It just doesn't seem fair, they seem to love their little eggies so.

Tumbler laid hers one every two to three days so the whole process was nearly a month of egg laying and another of egg sitting. Hopefully neither of yours stay that dedicated... :(

Ditto to Lorek. Every other day to every third. It is sad to see them sitting on them being good momma's...it will all work out!

I agree. Just write down when the eggs are laid so "if" the egg laying becomes an issue your vet will know. Hopefully it is just random periodic laying and nothing to worry about.

Bud laid her's every other day until she had at least 4, then would incubate in earnest. BE sure Babycakes eats. Buddy wouldn't leave them to eat so I had to feed her by the eggs.

Yes, like jades said... Be sure they eat. I too had to start taking tumbler out just to eat bc while she incubated them she had no inclination to leave the nest.
