Imagine living where they fly around free and wild. I am so jealous of Australia I could spit. And those bastards who killed who killed off the Carolina Parakeet can roast in hell!  :whip: devilwink :whip: devilwink :whip: devilwink

that's lovely! but how do they know the depth of the lake? The budgies just plopped in. You would think they would instinctively be more cautious about drowning, no?

maybe it is a popular "watering hole" and they are "regulars" Debz ! laugh wow, ok tooo much sugar today  :dufus:

I couldn't get over the sound they all made together! the huge symphony of budgies! like Victor times a million! I could recognize the high "cheep cheer-up" but it was so much my brain was overloading..and all the TOOOOOOS...they sounded almost alien..it was amazing! I have heard a too before, from OUTSIDE and I can't imagine how LOUD that must have been live.  oh

I have never seen so many in one place, and in motion.  the photos do not do them justice.

is this the new "life" from Discovery segment, I taped all they have aired, but not had a minute to watch any..  confused

Nope Wishy, that is from a PBS Nature episode called 'The Parrots of Oz' about all the parrot breeds in Australia.
