I don't know if any of you know of this option?  #1 guests cannot view any of our profiles if they are NOT a member.  Once someone is a member they can view your profile, including your email address.  People have been known to join forums to gather email addresses for spam purposes (Dictionaries).  You do have the option of hiding your email from all members (Admins are exempt).  If you decide to do this and you want another members email address, request this via Private Messaging.  If you would like to hide your email address follow these steps...

1. go to your profile.  2. on the left under "modify profile" click account related settings.  3.  under email check the box that says "Hide email address from public?". ***[DO NOT UNCHECK THE BOX UNDER THAT, THAT SAYS "Show others your online status?"

“My brother and sister birds, you should praise your Creator and always love him: He gave you feathers for clothes, wings to fly and all other things that you need. It is God who made you noble among all creatures, making your home in thin, pure air. Without sowing or reaping, you receive God’s guidance and protection.”
St. Francis of Assissi

oh yeah, I did this first thing, I don't see the other "status" box though, and I think it is a good feature, the email hide that is, who knows we might get a member that is a real nut and I don't need them e-mailing me!!!  loco6  :dufus:
