Kito had a long tree branch perch that has been with him for a long while.  Well he chewed the end to were it was barely stable.  A few times he went on it and it moved.  This scared him and he refused to any longer go on it.  We decided to get him a new perch.  I got him a large cement type perch to help with his nails.  Kito has always been a fearful parrot when it came to introducing new things (toys, perches, etc) into his cage and knew it would be a task.  So I decided for two weeks I would leave this new perch sit out to where he could still see it.  Everyday at least twice a day I would slowly introduce it to him and put it back.  Today was perch cleaning day and was time to give him his new perch.  What do ya know!  No problemos!  He was sittin on it 5 minutes later! thumb  Just thought I would share this to all and any who have a fearful Parrot.  It worked!
