"What is the code of conduct?"

The Code of Conduct contains rules that apply to all of the forums. It can be found on the scrolling news bar at the top of the forums.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Why was a thread locked?"

Thread locking is usually a last resort and happens when either a rule has been broken or the thread no longer serves any purpose. If you want a thread to be locked, you can add a request in your first post.

This doesn't happen very often on these forums.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"My thread was locked, but a Moderator didn't post a reason!"

Patience my dear friend, patience!

Although, at times, we may seem superhuman (don't laugh!), it still takes us time to write a post.

It's also worth remembering that Moderators will also need to check through the thread to make sure any unsuitable posts are also dealt with.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Why are some pinned threads locked?"

Sometimes it's useful for information to be displayed at the top of a forum (like this thread) - so a sticky is added and locked... (like this thread!).

These threads are locked because there's no need to discuss the thread.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The forums made me post multiple posts, what do I do?"

Don't worry, this happens from time to time and it's usually down to lag. Just edit any duplicate posts to let people know they were accidental.

To avoid posting duplicate messages, make sure you only hit the 'Add Message' button once if you're experiencing lag.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The forums made me post multiple threads, what do I do?"

Similar to duplicate posts, edit any duplicate threads to let people know they were accidental and continue your discussion on one of the threads. In time the duplicates should get pushed to the back of the forum.

As mentioned in the question above, you can avoid posting duplicate threads by pressing the 'Add Thread' just once when your computer is being slow.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Why has my title been censored?"

Sometimes the censor may be tripped by certain combinations of words or characters. We know it can be annoying, but the filter is necessary to make sure offensive words aren't displayed on the forums.

This happens very often both in the titles and within posts. If there's a problem with a word being censored, contact an admin or founder to have it fixed. Our censored list is actually quite small, so it doesn't cause too much of a problem.
