Poor little baby has been through so much at such a young age, his breeder is amazing and does everything possible for him. Im so thankful he was hatched with her and not with the majority of other breeders. I know most people here are more for rescues than breeders, but my goodness if your ever looking for a great baby conure, Grey, Pionus, or senegal PM me and I will give you her info, she is truly amazing. Anyways here is his "sling" it doesnt look like a sling but it forces his legs straight so he cant hold the bad one to the side, it will encourage it to grow properly and funtion better.

He looks like he is getting great care!  I'm sure alot of others would have given up by now.  He has a great care taker now and will have a great new mom with you!

Good job, very creative. Did you ever find that article in Parrot Life magazine for the splayed legs/ sock? Let me know if you don't have it like I said I will copy it & snail mail it to you if needed.

These little fabies just want to grow up. He's so endearing and strong!  Although, I'm unclear as to the sling and how it's working. So the little one has to sit in it for how long? Amazing what they can do nowadays.

Jax is not doing so well with his leg right now..He has been having problems, its cold and hes not using it as well as he was. He cant use hobbles (braces) because he then loses circulation in it. I have asome new pics that I will post when I get home from work tomorrow, Im not sure if he will get to 90% recovery or not now..no matter he will be loved the same if hes a belly bird as if hes a nomal bird. Ill let you know more asap.

I do hope for the best for that brave little guy.  I guess if he has a good quality of life it doesn't matter otherwise.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers!!
