Patricia Sund made me Denver Captain to gather feathers for a scarf for my choice Bird Rescue/Sactuary. So I chose The Gabriel Foundation. So what I need is FEATHERS! LOTS OF THEM!! I only have a few feathers right now, but with peoples' help, I hope to get more. Patricia told me to get ALL MY BIRD FIRENDS invlolved with this, so it's what I'm doing!

If you would like to send feathers, PM me, and I'll give you my mailing address.
Thans so much, even if you can't send feathers, just reading this knows I am getting the word out.

Ok, stupid question....how do you make a scarf out of feathers? Does it end up more like a boa?

I've got half a sandwich baggie full of feathers from my guys I can send you. It's a lot of feathers even though it doesn't look like a lot...they are little!

She sews the feathers onto a piece of cloth, is my guess. It's what it looks like, judging by the picture she has of the one she did in 2008

Some of Zimbas feathers are on the way to Patricia for the cause! I think she is using glue.
I know she is working on of African Grey scarf of feathers to bring to the big parrot festival here in Houston (end of January) and then making different ones after that if I understood her correctly.
I saw a scarf make of feathers last year at the festival and to be honest...it was kinda creepy. I have a picture of one made of Amazon feathers, hang on I’ll post it.

It looks like big amputated wings.

Sorry I cant help you.  I already sent her all of Zuri's for her Grey one.  I won't sent Yoshi's anywhere for a while, just to be safe.  I dunno if that bacteria can live but better safe.
