Okay, so I thought to myself Every time I eat suckers, my birds..ALL of them, try to eat it too! But then though they have too much sugar. So, my idea is suckers FOR BIRDS!!

Ingredients:
Peanut butter
Seeds (of all kinds, you choose)
Hulled Millet
Pecans and almonds (crushed)
Corn Niblets
Honey (JUST for glazing)
Sticks ( I used straws)
Baking cups (small)

Mix all the ingredients (exept honey) in a small bowl. mix until a thick paste. Take small amount, and roll it in your hands, and put it in a baking cup.
Then, take whatever you use as a stick, and put it in the mixture..let sit until hard. Take the hardened mixture out, and BAM! You have a sucker!
then let the fiddies ENJOY their VERY OWN SUCKER!!

Pictures of mine to come soon.

with the peanut allergies in thei house, PB in projects is just not possible.  can anyone give a suggestion of something of this consistency that will allow things to stick so we can make pine cone bird feeders and such?

Corn syrup Wishy.  A lot of the ones you buy in the stores have corn syrup.  You only need a smidge too.

You could also try Natural Almond Butter.  There are also many other butters from other nuts and legumes and there is also Apple butter though I don't know how good this would be for the stickiness.

can't have any nuts at all in contact with the children where they could touch it or inhale the 'dust'...

just smear corn syrup on stuff? oo this could get fun!
