Since the keets have moved into the living room, they are getting a lot of attention. Pixie and Violet are still pretty leary, but my dear friend Waldo will sit right up against the cage and chitter to me. No flying away. He is just my best buddy in the keet cage. When I fed them last night, I spent about 15 minutes making kissy noises and asking him for a kiss...."Give a kiss Waldo"   Well, I get home from work this morning and uncovered them, and got one , just one, big huge kiss from my little buddy. SMACKKKKKK
I wish I could just pick him up and cuddle him. I am winning him over slowly...so maybe eventually he can be hand tamed, but I don't want to ruin the trust I have gained so far. I guess good things come to those who wait, but its hard ....so hard. Here's my little pals ...check out the eyes again. Violet never pins her eyes. I wish I could get a good pic of her belly...it is the most delicate shade of violet..she really is lovely. And Pixie's colors are so bold and striking. But blue birds are my favorites!  smitten.gif I think they are all looking pretty good for being in the middle of a molt. I vacuum thousands of tiny feathers everyday!  ;D  They definitely do not like a camera in the roost!

“My brother and sister birds, you should praise your Creator and always love him: He gave you feathers for clothes, wings to fly and all other things that you need. It is God who made you noble among all creatures, making your home in thin, pure air. Without sowing or reaping, you receive God’s guidance and protection.”
St. Francis of Assissi
