Well I clipped Fawkes' wings the other day (first time clipping one of my big birds myself). the thinkiong was she was pulling her back and tail feathers because her wings touched her tail. So I had all this hope that she would stop after the wing clip. Well the next day she had plucked further up her back than she had done before, but I have noticed no further plucking since that day...heres to hoping its over.

I'll keep my fingers crossed!
When I first got Cheyenne, she plucked a countless amount of feathers the first night. But after that, she stopped. (well, until recently. lol) So hopefully this is what Fawkes is going to do, too.

“My brother and sister birds, you should praise your Creator and always love him: He gave you feathers for clothes, wings to fly and all other things that you need. It is God who made you noble among all creatures, making your home in thin, pure air. Without sowing or reaping, you receive God’s guidance and protection.”

I hope it works too if not just keep trying until you figure out what is bugging him, or you may never know...if you figure out why birds pluck you will be rich.
No matter some of the nicest birds I care for are pluckers, matters not to me I love them anyway  smitten.gif

The difference between kids and parrots is that it's funny when a parrot talks back.
