I go on Second Chance Rescue Forum and sometimes I just go on to read stuff.  I came across the Brokenwing Chronicles when I first got on there.  At first I must admit, I was a little put off by Arty, that is until I really read more and "heard" what he is saying.  This guy doesn't pretty up things that's for sure!  That's good.  He tells it like it is!  So if anybody reads these, please don't be put off , "listen" to what he's saying.  If more people would read him, they'd really think twice before doing some things.  Actually, just reading him might save an animal's life!  I don't know if he was speaking of a hypothetical situation, but has he really stopped doing rescue?  I hope not, but it is a big job to do alone, or even with help from his wife.  I wish there were more people like him.  Everyone should read these chronicles.  Thanks, Arty and Mrs. Arty.  Even if you have retired from rescue, rest assured you have done much good.

Arty,
Is a very dear friend of mine,He will tell you how it is and will not sugar coat anything,Many get put off by him, But me I adore him, He has taught me so much through the years, He will fight to the bitter end to help a little one in need.He always has very informative information, and if people just took the time to read it they may just learn something.
Sadly yes Arty has closed his doors to rescue,But I know deep down he will never really fully walk away !

Wow, I didn't realize he was "closing" his doors.  I always liked reading his posts.  I like what he wrote about "Beakers".

I too was saddened to hear he closed his doors, but like chance said, I don't think he is done!  I don't know him, but his passion for his beliefs tell me he will not fully close that door.  I wish him great luck on whatever he decides, and his services will always be SO greatly appreciated by me ;)

Arty can say he is done till he is blue in the face, but he is a rescuer, This is something no matter how hard you try you can't walk away from,As Arty and I always say it is our  calling ,and no matter how many times we cry or see pain and abused ,We will continue helping the ones that need us,So don't you worry Arty will always be a rescuer  ;)
