Does anyone know of any parrot rescues in South Eastern NH or Southern Maine? I am thinking of getting a rescue bird -when I finally get a job.
No bird can replace Kermit in my heart but the idea of a rescuing a homeless bird in his memory is very appealing to me.

I don't know of any but have you checked into your local animal shelters? A lot of times they will have birds available even though they are listed as cat/dog shelters.

I can't remember the name of it right now but there is one in NH, it is an animal rescue, not just birds. Look under petfinder.
