*cough*cough**
Over a year ago I bought 2 ionic breeze towers. I considered the sq. ft. and decided that that was the one I wanted. Now I'm not so sure. :-\ Lately, I've been feeling like poop. Coughing and a bit of wheezing. As if I were still a smoker.   It could be allergies but I think it also has to do with the 2 dusty feather balls that live with me. And Cat's reoccurring sinus infections. sheesh... more expenses... :-\  What do you guys have?  I was looking at the unit that is advertised in BT every issue.  With the dude holding his macaw.

Just some middle of the road air filters.  They help but are nothing compared to the HEPA.

I have the HEPA Honeywell air purifier, and it works great! There's this black filter that goes around the canister thing inside, and by the end of the month it's just WHITE due to all the dust that it picks up from my birds! But instead of replacing it every 3 months like they suggest, I just vaccuum it off and it works just as well. Here's a picture:

Geeze, I remember hearing about "ionic" and not to use it...but I am sorry I cannot recall why.  I believe PP (peppers pa) has the one you are referring to....pricey I believe.  We have just 2 small ones from walmart or target.

She still sneezes, but she always did. But its much better. Not really sure if its a natural improvement  or the hepa. I also have been running the vaporizer a lot. It gets very dry in here between the heat and central air. My gut instinct says that really is the helper, but I really don't know.

If any of you use a humidifier please routinely check your ceilings, windows sills and more for black mold.  Once this is established it is very hard to get rid of and is very bad for birds and humans alike.. ;)
